About Us
Robin Wade
Robin Wade, while working as a Political Risk Insurance Broker in the City, wrote a book but struggled to find an agent. Taking matters into his own hands he managed to bluff his way past a receptionist, spoke directly to an editor and within two weeks he had an offer of publication. Robin wouldn't recommend this as the ideal way to approach publishers, but the contacts he made through his own writing gave him the confidence to set up as an agent, with his invaluable experience of the industry from the author's point of view. Robin handles all adult and young adult genres, (excluding children's books or poetry), but passes crime and commercial women's fiction over to Broo.

Broo DohertyBroo Doherty has worked in publishing for the last twenty years. She has had a variety of different roles throughout the industry, having started as a production assistant at Victor Gollancz. She then moved to Hodder and Stoughton for a brief period, before joining Transworld as an editor for the Bantam Press imprint, where she was involved with authors such as David Gemmell, Anthony Holden and Jilly Cooper. Then she joined the agent Jane Gregory as the editorial director of Gregory and Company where she advised leading writers in the area of crime and women's commercial fiction. Broo handles all genres, excluding children's books, but particularly enjoys crime, cookery and commercial women's fiction.

We are actively looking for new writers across the board, both general and genre fiction and non-fiction (but excluding books for children, poetry, plays, screenplays and short stories). We seek manuscripts that are well written, with strong characters and an original narrative voice. Our absolute priority is on giving the best possible service to the authors we choose to represent, and to maintaining routine friendly contact with them while we help develop their careers.

Our translation rights are handled by Intercontinental Literary Agency Ltd.
Our Film & TV Rights are handled by Sayle Screen Ltd.
